NowGo Baby Tracker privacy policy

Last reviewed: September 19, 2026 · App published by NowGo, LLC · Contact: the website contact form

NowGo Baby Tracker is a baby-care tracker with no accounts and no NowGo cloud service. The records you keep in it are stored on your own device; the app never uploads them to NowGo.

The app is in development. This policy describes the app as currently built, based on a review of its code and of the current Android build’s configuration; it is not a report of on-device testing. Before each store release we re-verify the released version against this policy and update the policy if anything changes, at this same address.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter is kept in a single local data store on your device:

  • Care records — sleep and nap sessions, breastfeeding sessions with left/right sides, waking times, and growth measurements, each with their times and any notes you add.
  • An optional child profile — a name, an optional date of birth, and an optional photo. The photo is reduced to a small image and stored inside the same local data store. All of these are your choice; the app works without them.
  • Your preferences — theme, display units, and clock format.

There is no account, sign-in, or registration of any kind.

What the app does not do

  • No NowGo cloud storage, server, or sync: the app makes no connection to NowGo and sends us nothing.
  • No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking libraries.
  • No live caregiver sync between devices: the app itself does not send records from one device to another. You can move records by hand using the exports described below.
  • On Android, the app is configured to opt out of the operating system’s automatic app-data backup, and it blocks the camera, microphone, and broad photo/media-library permissions. Choosing a profile photo uses the system photo picker only.

Exports you create yourself

You can create copies of your records using these export controls:

  • “Save a backup” creates a single JSON file containing everything: care records, settings, and the child profile — including the profile photo, if you set one.
  • “Export growth CSV” creates a spreadsheet file of growth measurements, including the child name you chose and any notes on those records.

You choose where each export goes using your device’s own save/share screen — for example a file on the device, a drive or cloud service you use, or a message to someone. Once an export leaves the app, it is an independent copy: it is governed by wherever you put it (including that place’s own backups), and deleting records in the app does not delete exported copies. The app does not encrypt export files; store them somewhere you trust. If you ever run the app in a web browser instead, exports are delivered as ordinary browser downloads.

On a phone or tablet, the app prepares each export by writing the file to its private cache folder before handing it to the destination you choose, and restoring a backup copies your chosen file into that same cache; preparing a profile photo can also leave processed image files in the app’s private storage. The app does not delete these cache copies on any schedule — they can remain until the operating system clears the cache or the app’s data is removed.

Backups, transfers, and copies your device may make

The app never uploads your records to NowGo, but your own device and its platform services can make copies outside the app’s control:

  • Android: the app opts out of Android’s automatic app-data backup, as described above. Android’s own documentation notes, however, that on some devices app data can still be copied during a device-to-device transfer regardless of that setting.
  • iOS: an iOS version has not been released. Device backups on iOS (such as iCloud Backup) can include app data; before an iOS release, this policy will be updated to describe the released version’s verified behavior.
  • Files you saved or shared: exported files are covered by the backup settings of wherever you put them.

Copies made by your operating system or by services you chose are managed through those systems’ own settings. The app cannot see or delete such copies, and neither deleting records in the app nor uninstalling it removes them.

Deleting records

Records stay in the app’s local storage until you remove them — there is no automatic expiry.

  • Individual records can be deleted inside the app (open the record, then “Delete record”).
  • All records on a device, including the cache copies described above, are removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its app data in your device settings.
  • Exported files must be deleted separately, wherever you saved or sent them, and copies made by device backups or transfers are managed in those platform settings — the app cannot remove either kind for you.
  • There is no account to delete or close, and because the app uploads nothing, NowGo holds no copy of your records to delete for you. (If you ever chose to email us an export, that message is support correspondence — see “If you contact support” below.)

Children

The app is made for parents and caregivers, who choose what to record about their child. The app keeps those records on the caregiver’s device and does not upload them, as described above; NowGo does not collect personal information from anyone — adult or child — through the app.

If you contact support

Support starts at the website’s contact form; your message is delivered to us as email, and the conversation then continues over ordinary email between you and us. We receive what you choose to send and use it to help you; please describe problems rather than sending your records. The form itself does not accept attachments. If, later in an email conversation, you choose to send an export or other attachment, it becomes part of that email correspondence. The website privacy notice covers how we handle the form and email in more detail.

Changes

If a future version of the app changes anything described here — for example, if an optional sharing feature is ever added — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change. The policy always lives at this address: https://nowgopro.com/apps/baby-tracker/privacy/.
